Your puppy 8 weeks to 8 months free download

No chewy, no big fuss. Only attend to pup in the night if he cries out to toilet. The feedings are completely from toys to encourage acceptable chewing, to decrease mouthiness and to provide mental stimulation and keep pup busy for longer than eating from a bowl.

Training and manners is happening all day with several specific opportunities to practice in minute periods. Walking, sitting for toys and food, rewarding proper toileting and proper supervision and confinement all teach pup how to behave.

There are also other chances to chew with also count as mental stimulation. Three scheduled walks totally 95 minutes as well as anything else you add during pup's free time in the house with you. This is a vigorous schedule, but you have a puppy! This won't last forever. The more you rotate toys and exercise your pup physically and mentally, the easier it will be.

Some of your personal goals may have to be put on hold while you raise your puppy. Make friends with dogs and trade off sitting time. We want to build a strong foundation of trust and understanding before we try to teach obedience behaviors. This video covers how to manage a puppy in and around the home, but the focus is how we build the foundation for all future training.

Once we have engagement and a pup that loves the learning process, teaching obedience behaviors is easy. I've re-watched this video every time I am about to get a new puppy over the years and it has been a great tool to prepare me for every new dog I've ever gotten. Highly recommend this especially if you have no idea what you're doing but you want a new dog for the home.

I purchased the original 8 weeks to 8 months 16 years ago for my household canine. It served as the fundamentals for all other videos I bought on this website. Let me guarantee you, if you actually apply and train as instructed, you will develop a wonderful dog. Everyone who interacted with my pet enjoyed his company complimented his demeanor. I owe it all to Ed Frawley. Unfortunately I lent out my original DVD to a friend who kept it.

No problem though cause I am looking forward to acquiring this updated version for my new puppy. Thank you for producing these invaluable tools for a respectable price. This video was exceptional in knowledge. Truly prepared us for training our puppy. I love the demonstrations at every level. I'm very much looking forward to watching other videos by Leerburg soon. Even if you think you are beyond basic training I would still highly suggest watching this video it is worth the Money.

As a trainer it is important that you take what you need and leave what you don't, keep an open mind and see what some of the top experts in the field have to say. I loved the video and can tell you that there are small segments of training Gold in this video. Watch it! I was expecting a little more do's and don'ts on common mistakes people make. Should a puppy sleep with a harness in their crate? Should an emergency kit be put together? Overall the video has a lot of good information and education, just wanted few more things actually covered rather than having to go to other areas on the site.

Overall, I enjoyed the video but could use improvement. Being hard of hearing, it was difficult to watch without the option to use captions, and when words appeared for titles there were errors such as "Grooming You Puppy" instead of "Your" which I noticed at least two times throughout.

I was hoping for milestones and markers on development for a well socialized puppy. More information on caring for and teaching a puppy in the city would also be nice for those of us who do not have access to pools, lakes, or have the reasonable option of using a flexi-lead to walk our puppies.

I would have liked to see more information on handling a puppy in public such as busy areas outside or pet-friendly stores beyond not letting strangers or strange dogs interact with the puppy which I agree with. Not a bad video. Lots of information was covered in a variety of topics.

It was unclear what the author thought was the best way to correct a really bad behavior or issue. Instead it almost seemed if you have an issue you failed somewhere earlier and it will be hard to correct.

Not a lot covered on how to correct issues that arise, most things were all the 'good' stuff. It was a good video but I was expecting to see the puppy at different stages in growth and development from 8 weeks to 8 months. I think that some topics were emphasized a bit too much where it may have left some room for other information.

Also, I was hoping for some generalized milestone information for the puppy during their growth and development such as by X months your puppy should be able to Y. Stay in touch! Puppies must learn to control the pressure of their biting and mouthing before they develop the strength to cause serious harm and so, you must teach your puppy proper bite inhibition before he gets too old.

Bite inhibition must be taught during puppyhood. Additionally, you must teach your puppy to be confident and happy regarding human presence around their food bowl and valued objects, otherwise your puppy may become overly possessive and begin to guard objects. Unfortunately, far too many owners underestimate the crucial importance of teaching bite inhibition and socializing their young puppy and so, I have included a list of common excuses. Not teaching bite inhibition is both asinine and potentially dangerous.

Not sufficiently socializing a puppy is inhumane; as an adult, the poor dog will forever feel stressed, anxious and edgy around people. Not fair. Please socialize your puppy. The Top Dog Academy.
