Then, each sound was carefully crafted and processed by computer. The end result is more than 50 snares, 50 kick drums, 50 hats, tons of hybrid percussion tones, crashes, and a special folder of percussion oriented sound effects - hits in all.

Perfect fodder for today's cutting-edge electronic musicians. Each demo was created using about 10 - 12 samples from Punch:ERM - Remember, there are no loops on this CD, just tons of electro - percussion sounds.

Whilst this collection is undoubtedly aimed at the electronica crowd, it might be interesting to other electronic and dance musicians who want to get a bit more experimental. And if you happen to find yourself doing the sound effects for a sci-fi movie, it would be ideal!

The other reason you might want to own this CD, is that you probably wouldn't have thought of half of the noises on it yourself, let alone taken the time to build your own synths to create them. This CD is incredibly inspiring and current. You won't find any more current library for modern dance music. That's meant as a compliment And to assure the audio gets dirty enough, the producers downsampled or sample-converted much of the material so that it's only 8- or even 4-bit.

Grunge City! I really appreciate the variety of drum loops, which range from fairly straight-ahead to absolutely monstrous -- with a decided multitude of the latter The processing is so thick it's tasteful, and the hooks are infectious. Review Highlights " These are selections of sounds that are used to produce a track in a particular genre. All the samples used to create the track are there, and you can substitute sounds from elsewhere on the CD for those used to give an equally authentic, but different sound.

These offer instant tempo matching , independent pitch control and sometimes tags for easy location. Loops in general, and drum loops in particular, have also been AMG's speciality too of course. Something old something new But it's built on a system that isn't ideal now so we are transitioning it over time. This is the first step in overcoming that and allowing for future transition more smoothly. Simply join our mailing list and they're yours! Check out our full catalogue now New releases….

A guide to some of the formats we offer…. REX Files. REX files are one of the most innovative sample formats ever to have been created. They allow loops to be sliced up, although it can be a bit of an art, and then replayed at any tempo but software that supports the format. It writes synthetic decays that you hear when loops are slowed but works particularly well for drums. No tagging, but REX files are excellent quality and great for drum loops.

Apple Loops. Unsurprising maybe then that they basically applied the same concept to the Mac's native Aif files to make them into Apple Loops. Again adding slice, pitch and tag info to each Apple Loop. Apple Loops are complete unsupported with any SDK by Apple so any third parties reading them have to 'wing it'. The format has had some quirks along the way that have largely gone unnoticed but do exist. Apple Loops are typically Aif files but Apple has recently released.

These Core Audio Format files cannot be written and are another 'mystery' format. Apple Loops are widely used and growing in popularity.
