It's definitely a favorite spot on campus, and I will keep going back. As a Xavier student, Currito is absolutely the best choice for eating on campus. The atmosphere is great: good food, friendly staff and great music always on the stereo. The food is fresh and has never let me down on my quests to cure hunger. The variety is endless but I always settle on a create your own burrito bowl with chips and guac. Only complaint is the high price come on, we are in college!

Joe had a background in franchising and hospitality, and John had been working in the restaurant business his entire life. Rather than do another Chipotle clone, they thought to jump onto the emerging trend of healthier food but with an international flair. Currito was born, selling not only the popular Mexican-style burritos but also things like the Tikka burrito with tikka masala sauce and raita or the Mediterranean burrito with hummus and feta or the Bangkok with Thai-style peanut sauce and Asian slaw.
For instance, Currito rolled out kale and quinoa as burrito ingredients last year. That's something Chipotle wouldn't be able to do because those ingredients don't necessarily fit in with the flavor profiles it offers. But those are also hot-ticket items for people interested in healthy options.
Currito, in its six Cincinnati-area stores, has switched to local produce from Ohio Valley Food Connection and antibiotic-free chicken. The original Currito was the only one for a little over a year.
